Optical Profiler for 3D Imaging
Zeta's patented Z-DotTM technology enables researchers and production managers to create true-color, 3D images of sub-micron surface features for measurement applications in High-Brightness LEDs, Solar Cells, Biotech, and Magnetic Storage Media. The Z-Dots enable the system software to rapidly identify features within the plane of focus to create accurate 3D surface maps of Patterned Sapphire Substrates, Surface Textures, Microfluidic Channels, and Micro-machining defects.
The Z-Dot optics sub-system is mounted on a precision Z-stage that can step up or down in increments as small as several nm. Our advanced image processing software controls the image capture from the Z-Dot sub-system and vertical positioning of the Z-stage to gather quantitative data on step height, roughness, feature dimensions, size & pitch, and volume in less than one minute. In addition, our white-light illumination produces true-color images visualized in 3D for compelling qualitative inspection.
Unlike other microscopy systems that require regular alignment maintenance, the simple design of the Z-Dot focus grid has no moving parts within the optics sub-system. This greatly reduces the cost of manufacturing and makes Zeta tools virtually maintenance-free.
