ERT and ECT systems for process tomography

 

 

 

 

Today process tomography can be used for online measurement and visualization of blending properties in process platoons, tanks and pipelines. Electrodes are positioned inside or outside a probe container.

ERT and ECT are the two systems that measure the resistance (ERT) and the capacity (ECT) between the electrodes. The resulting image shows the blending of the substances of interest with different electrical conductivity in a single layer, like water and gas inside an oil pipeline.

The compact Time Domain THz Spectrometer Mini-Z-1000 has a femtosecond fiber laser as pulse source. Its operating modes are transmission and focused reflection. Weighing less then 3 kilos, the THz head is highly flexible and ideal for various applications.
